Platinum Custom Cars was founded by Michael Dumas in 1990. As a child, Mike spent his days watching his father rebuild and fabricate custom choppers and motorcycles. It was during this time that Mike learned the value of every car or bike, and learned how the right care and knowledge could extend the life and performance of any car, truck or motorcycle.  When Mike graduated high school he decided to go to work for Ford Motor Company, working in their plant is where he learned his trade and which enhanced his deep knowledge of automobile body and fender work, fabrication and mechanical systems . Although Mike was learning the most advanced techniques in auto repair, he never forgot the lessons he learned all those years ago. He was growing up during the "Muscle Car" era and as a result, has extensive knowledge of almost every performance model out there. His knowledge doesn't stop with the 60's - 80's cars though, if you are looking to trick out a modern machine, Platinum is the place to be.

He promised himself to always provide value and outstanding service, regardless of how large his business grew. As a result, Platinum Custom Cars is a large, fully modernized and equiped repair facility and has grown into one of the countries most unique and affordable custom shops around. Mike offers a one stop shop for virtually any repair, replacement or modification to almost any vehicle type. Come on in, Estimates are friendly and free!!! Platinum will also come and pick up your car or truck in our enclosed trailer and transport it to our facility, when work is ready to be performed, from within a 100 mile radius of our shop.

              

Platinum Custom Cars is located in Manteno, Illinois just north of Kankakee, and just south of Joliet, and accessable from many of the Illinois Highway systems.
